Passages de Paris

The Passages are old covered walkways, the 'shopping malls' of the upper classes in the 19th century: "long glass roofed corridors lined with charming shops, restaurants, boutiques and specialist shops," although some are rundown. If it should rain when we are in Paris, we can always spend time in the Passages and the Grands Magasins like the Galleries Lafayettes. Here's a list of the 10 most popular. I'll mark them on my foldout map so we can run from one to another in a downpour. There is also a site in French: passagesetgaleries.org.
